Deborah Wolfe

1999 Inductee

Deborah Wolfe was an outstanding ambassador of Huntington as the 1984 Mrs. America. As an international consultant, writer, performer and humanitarian, she promoted Huntington as "almost Heaven” at every opportunity in national and international media, from the White House to the more than four dozen countries that her work encompassed.

Married to Huntington Police officer Kim Wolfe, she worked at his side to establish the Huntington Mounted Police Unit. She also shared her talents in numerous theater and service organizations.

Wolfe’s activities include the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she has served as Sunday school teacher, youth and women's leader, and Bishop's Wife Mother of seven children and firmly committed to the importance of the home.

Wolfe shunned glamorous career opportunities and built a successful career working at home with her children at her side, home-schooling them to academic, social and artistic excellence. She was recognized in "The International Who's Who of Intellectuals'' and received numerous other service-oriented honors.
