Known as the father of the Marshall University School of Medicine, Dr. Albert C. Esposito's pursuit of his dream for another medical school in West Virginia took him to the state legislature where he served two terms in the House of Delegates. He is a member of the medical honorary Alpha Omega Alpha and received the group's Honor Award in 1976.
Among his many professional honors were the American Academy of Ophthalmology Honor Award and the Southern Medical Association's Distinguished Service Award. He was president of many professional organizations including the West Virginia State Medical Association and served the community on the Board of Directors of the Huntington Chamber of Commerce and the Marshall University Foundation.
