Clarence Edward Martin

Clarence Edward Martin was born in Milton, West Virginia. He holds a BBA and MBA from Marshall University with post-graduate work at the University of Kentucky and Ohio State University. He grew up understanding the importance of hard work, education and dedication and became one of Huntington's most successful businessmen. 

Martin began his career in 1961 and, at the time of his induction into the Wall of Fame, had spent 34 years building State Electric Supply Company, Inc. and its sister companies to national prominence with operations in nine states. 

He actively supported Marshall University and many local organizations, including Boy Scouts of America, Junior Achievement, Rotary International and the City of Huntington Foundation, Inc. He was an active proponent and supporter of economic growth for the region and was involved with the Huntington Area Development Council, Advantage Valley and other groups that facilitate economic expansion.
