David A. Glick was born in Huntington, the son of Jack and Mirium Glick. He graduated from Huntington High School in 1959 and the University of Cincinnati with a BBA in 1964. He then attended Marshall University to work on his master's degree.
Glick’s years working and then being part-owner of the family business, Star Furniture Store, prepared him for his interaction with the public as he dedicated himself to his faith and coaching children. He served as president of B'nai B'rith in 1976 and is active during local projects like the annual Thanksgiving basket drive, reverse raffle and other charitable causes. His other civic involvements include more than 50 years as an Elks member and 20-plus years as a member of the Stella Fuller Board of Directors.
Besides the love for his family, his passion and true love has always been Huntington Little League 3 Baseball. Glick has coached children for more than 50 years. One of the new baseball fields at Little League 3 on the Southside of Huntington was named in his honor.
