When Philip E. Cline started his career in 1955, he was a man destined for success. Vice president and treasurer of J. H. Fletcher and Company, Cline had already demonstrated strong leadership ability by the time he had finished Marshall University, where he served as student body president.
What is special about Cline is how he has so freely shared his success and leadership with his community. A former chairman of the board of the Huntington Area Chamber of Commerce, Cline has worked tirelessly in making Huntington a vigorous and progressive community. He served as president of the Huntington YMCA, the Rotary Club of Huntington and the Marsha Alumni Association.
In addition to his community service, Cline has contributed generously to the United Way and the MU Foundation. His unselfish investment in Huntington has enhanced the quality of life for all of its citizens.
