Whether it's serving as a symbol of success for country music performers or gracing the tables of presidents, Blenko Glass is internationally known for its beauty and quality. A graduate of the Carnegie Institute of Technology, William H. Blenko Jr. assumed responsibility for the operation of Blenko Glass in 1969. In an era that for the most part witnessed the demise of the hand-blown glass industry, Blenko dedicated himself to prospering the company his family founded in 1893.
Through his efforts to uphold the Blenko tradition, he has aided in the preservation and appreciation of the art of hand-blown glass. He has served as the president of the Association of Glass and Pottery Manufacturers, is a life member of the Glass Art Society and the Stained Glass Society, and is a member emeritus of the American Ceramic Society.
Blenko has also found time to be active locally in the Lions Club, the American Legion and the VFW. He has shared his time and expertise serving on the Board of Directors of the Huntington Museum of Art, the Bank of Milton and the Huntington Automobile Club.
