William Kenneth Grant

2004 Inductee

William Kenneth “Kenney” Grant was born and raised in Huntington and went on to become one of Huntington’s most successful businessmen.

In 1961, he opened Gino's Pizza and Spaghetti House and has continued to expand his business to dozens of locations Huntington across the state. 

Kenney supported Huntington Blizzard, the Huntington Cubs, Marshall University athletics and youth sports. He donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Green Acres. For Green Acres, Grant organized a charity-boxing match as a fundraiser to upgrade the facility that allowed it to receive state accreditation. 

He is a member of St. John's Episcopal Church, Downtown Huntington Partners, the Old Central City Association, and B.P.O.E. Lodge 313. 

Grant's awards include the American Legion "Citizen of the Year" in 1993-94 and The Herald-Dispatch "Business Innovator of the Year" in 2004. He was inducted into the Huntington East High School Hall of Fame in 2003.
